P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, born on December 1, 1954, in Kerala, is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician and the Governor of Goa. Prior to this, he was the Governor of Mizoram from November 5, 2019, to July 6, 2021, where the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Justice Ajay Lamba at Raj Bhavan conducted his swearing-in ceremony.

PS Sreedharan Pillai has an interest in writing. His first book was published in 1983. By the time he became the governor, his 105 books were published. 

Sreedharan’s political career started with ABVP when he was studying in college. He was the BJP State President from 2003 to 2006 and later got appointed as the President in 2018. Pilai was associated with a National Volunteer Organisation – The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from childhood days. 

The 67-year-old said in an interview that he spent most of his time after official duty during the lockdown in reading and writing. “I would wake up at four in the morning and start reading and writing after exercising,” he said. He thinks that leaders and mass workers should inculcate the habit of reading books to educate the people. 

Pillai further said that the lockdown implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus gave him more free time to read and write books. Nobody was allowed to enter the Raj Bhavan. His communication with people was also closed, and all of his upcoming trips were postponed for some time.  

Pillai started writing three decades ago. His first book was published in 1983. Before becoming the governor, 105 books were published by him. Till now, he has written at least 121 books in different categories.
