Bhagwant Mann has been a member of the Lok Sabha since 2014. He belongs to the Aam Aadmi Party. In May 2014, he became the MP for the Sangrur constituency of Punjab. He has also been a famous Punjabi comedian and worked as a politician.

Mann and renowned comedian Kapil Sharma participated in a popular television comedy competition called The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He was born on October 17, 1973, in Satoj village of Sangrur district of Punjab, India. Mann did B.Com (First Year) from SUS Government College in Sangrur District of Punjab. He married Inderpreet Kaur, and later they separated in 2015; the couple has two children.

In all the exit polls, it was said that the Aam Aadmi Party could form the government in Punjab this time. AAP had made Bhagwant Mann its chief ministerial face.

Dhuri is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly constituencies. He was leading from the very beginning in the Dhuri constituency. There is a 55,225 population in Dhuri, with nearly 74 villages in this assembly seat.

Mann is currently the MP representing the Aam Aadmi Party. He has reached the Lok Sabha for the second time.

The election results have been declared, making Mann the chief minister for Punjab with 65,858 votes. He has dethroned sitting Congress MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy with 45,000 votes. AAP has won by leading in Punjab with 91 seats.

Mann promised the people that his first act in office would be fixing the problem of unemployment in the state. “We will ensure that youth do not have to go abroad… Within a month, you will observe a lot of changes in everything,” News18 quoted AAP’s Bhagwat Mann as saying after he succeeded in the state election.
