Lockdown has been imposed in the state due to increasing cases of the corona. In view of the increasing number of patients and the critical situation in the state, many examination dates have been postponed. MBBS and MD’s examinations will start in the first week of June, Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh has said.

Meanwhile, Class 10 board exams have been cancelled due to the growing number of corona cases. The 12th class board examination is likely to be held by the end of May. Rajesh Tope has informed that the cabinet had unanimously decided to cancel the 10th board examination and promote the students. Also, there will be an internal assessment for the students of 10th standard and in this regard, detailed information will be released after discussing with the experts in the field of education, said the School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.

The CBSE board has postponed the Class XII exams, while the Class X exams have been cancelled. A decision on when to take the 12th exam will be taken after June 1st.

Most boards in the country have cancelled or postponed the exams. Not only CBSE, ICSE but a total of seven state education boards across the country have postponed their exams. These include Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.
