Indian women’s team cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy said on the decease of her mother and sister due to the coronavirus that her family did everything correctly but could not save them. The 28-year-old cricketer from Bengaluru paid emotional tributes to his sister and mother. Veda’s mother and sister died within two weeks. Veda said, “This virus is very dangerous, her family did everything properly but the virus was not spared them. She also said I am wholehearted with all those who are facing this type of situation. Stay safe, stay strong. Two weeks after the death of his mother Cheluvamba Devi, elder sister Vatsala Shivkumar died on Thursday.

After losing two of his closest people, she wrote–

THE LAST FEW DAYS I SPENT WITH YOU BOTH WERE SO RELACING AND WE WERE ALL SO HAPPY NEVER IMAGINED THAT WOULD BE OUR LAST.

MY WOULD HAS JUST GONE UPSIDE DOWN AFTER YOU BOTH LEFT ME. NOT SURE HOW WE AS A FAMILY ARE GOING TO REGROUP. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH AND WILL MISS YOU BOTH.
