Union Home Minister Amit Shah embarked on a three-day visit to Gujarat on Monday, where he will launch and lay the foundation stones of some major development projects in the state. Through the visit, it is anticipated that the Centre will continue to emphasize the development of infrastructure, welfare of the people and engagement with culture in Gujarat.
As per the official sources, the schedule of Amit Shah has Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, Anand and Kheda districts, where he will be attending several official and public events. The Home Minister will also launch projects concerning education, sporting infrastructures, research and community facilities, which will facilitate the development of civic facilities and enhance the development of the region.
SHAH is expected to lay the foundation stones and open several projects on the first day of his visit, such as a sports complex, biotechnology research, and educational establishments. These programs will provide young people with new opportunities, enhance innovation, and endow the academic-research infrastructure of the state.
Besides development-oriented activities, Amit Shah will also participate in the cultural and social activities. He will be visiting the Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad and participating in festivities associated with the Uttarayan festival, a big cultural festival in Gujarat. The next day, he is going to a book release programme where he will meet the intellectuals and party workers.
Security in the visit has been improved in a number of places before the visit. To maintain the security of people and the proper flow of events, the Ahmedabad police have made the city a no-drone zone during the stay of the Home Minister. The state administration and the police top officials are keeping a close watch on arrangements.
Significant investments in infrastructure, education, and urban development are still being made in Gujarat, which is why the visit is already considered important. Amit Shah, the native of Gujarat, has often stressed the need to focus on balanced development, the development based on innovation, and better services provided to the citizens in the state.
Political observers are of the view that the visit would also enhance coordination between the Centre and the Gujarat government in the various projects currently being undertaken, as well as those that are going to be undertaken. Although the major concern will be development, the visit will probably involve a meeting with the party leaders and local representatives to discuss the progress of different initiatives.
The three-day Gujarat tour of the Home Minister is likely to be followed by further project openings and interaction with people, which will strengthen the Centre’s intentions to increase the pace of state development and the quality of life in this state.
