A proposal to have six new Vande Bharat Express trains through Ranchi has been given to the Ministry of Railways, in a big boost to the railway connectivity of Jharkhand. The relocation is expected to improve quick and convenient commuting between Jharkhand and major locations in India, which is a new milestone in the transportation of the state.

As per official reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched six new Vande Bharat trains virtually through Ranchi linking major cities in Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. The suggested services are Ranchi-Patna, Deoghar-Varanasi, Tatanagar- Patna, Bhagalpur- Howrah via Dumka, Brahmapur- Tatanagar and Rourkela- Howrah. The new trains will greatly cut down the time spent on the road as they will have modern amenities and the comfort of the passengers.

Presently, there are two running trains of the Vande Bharat Express in Jharkhand, namely Ranchi-Howrah and Ranchi-Patna trains, both of which have received significant approval on the qualities of speed, timeliness and passenger amenities. The six further trains added will increase connectivity in the eastern part, which will be beneficial to the students, professionals, traders, and even tourists.

It has also been confirmed by the officials that the proposal of four additional Vande Bharat routes has been forwarded to the Railway Board, which would link Ranchi and Hatia with major cities such as Bengaluru, Raipur, Pune, and Puri. These are the routes that are being considered and are likely to get the green light in the near future, as the Jharkhand state has high traffic and is also crucial in the regional rail system.

Vande Bharat Express is the first Indian semi-high-speed train, and it can travel at a speed of 130 kmph. It has a contemporary design, comfortable seats, automatic doors, and Wi-Fi on board, which reflects a huge improvement over the old-fashioned express trains. New Vande Bharat services introduced by Ranchi will not only enhance the passenger experience but also boost the economy due to enhanced connectivity and tourism attractions.

Prime Minister Modi asserted that the development of the Vande Bharat network was a sign that the government was committed to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, or inclusive development for all its states. He also pointed out that the rail infrastructure projects that have been initiated in Jharkhand, with an estimated cost of above 660 crore, will provide jobs and lead to the growth of the region.

With such developments, Jharkhand will become a central point in the growing railroad network of eastern India. The newly introduced and suggested Vande Bharat trains have promised a new age of modern, efficient and people-friendly rail travel in and out of Ranchi.
