The approval of three new flyover projects will be a big turnaround in the road infrastructure of the capital city of Jharkhand, which is Ranchi. In a high-level meeting that was held recently at his official residence located on Kanke Road, Chief Minister Hemant Soren went through detailed presentations of these projects. The move is a welcome relief to people of Ranchi, who have been faced with growing traffic jams in major areas of the city.

The first flyover under the plans will involve building the flyover between Sahajanand Chowk at Harmu and the office of the ACB. The tender has already been done on this project, and this is a good indication that the project may soon commence. In order to facilitate traffic movement, the Chief Minister has ordered authorities to make this flyover related to the already existing Ratu Road flyover. It is projected that this integration will save time and fuel for daily commuters.

The second giant project is the Argoda Chowk flyover to Kathal Mod. This is said to be one of the busiest roads in Ranchi, and there are frequent traffic jams during the rush hours. The government will solve this problem by constructing an elevated passageway that will reduce congestion on the ground roads. The other ambitious project will also emerge along with this one between Karam Toli Chowk to Science City. To this extent, a four-lane elevated road is being suggested, and more will be extended to the Doctor’s Colony on Bariatu Road to Hill View. Here, it is not only about the handling of the current traffic demands but also whether the infrastructure is capable of meeting the future needs of the city.

Other than these flyovers, at Argoda Chowk, a rotary will be constructed. This roundabout will be used to connect some important roads and ease the movement of traffic, as well as decrease the risk of bottlenecks. The Chief Minister stressed that all these projects would have to be designed in a modern way, durable and future-ready. He has asked officials to give these works priority so that Ranchi will soon enjoy an improved road system.

With these new flyovers in place, commuters will be relieved to a great extent, especially office-goers and students who have to endure traffic jams every day. The projects are seen as the government’s interest in enhancing the quality of life and the urban infrastructure strength of citizens. Under these efforts, Ranchi will be making a giant leap towards being a more connected city, with easier transportation infrastructure.
