Replica of the world’s largest temple built in Ranchi for Durga Puja celebrations, showcasing grand architecture and cultural devotion.

Something spectacular is being witnessed in Ranchi, a mega replica of the largest temple in the world captivated the devotees and the tourists visiting the city during Durga Puja festivity. The pomp of such a singular pandal has made Ranchi a spiritual and cultural hub, with people by the downpour, thronging to see the enormous pandal.

This year, the crowning feature of the Ram Temple has been a replica of the grandeur that was built on the old ground of the Vidhan Sabha. With a width of more than 170 feet and a length of 120 feet, the structure is among the largest pandals ever witnessed by the region. The pandal is a tall building made to stand above the ground with the features of its carvings and impressive arches bringing the glory of the Ayodhya temple into the core land of Jharkhand.

In the pandal, is a 19-foot idol of Goddess Durga that emits divinity and strength. Along with this is also an 8-foot image of Lord Ram, which enhances the devotional climate, and it also acts as a symbol of unity in traditions during the festival. The extravagant designs, extensive lighting, and incorporation of traditional themes make sure that the pandal is a place to worship and also an art piece.

More than 200 workers were employed in the construction of the grand pandal, and many workers came to work in Ranchi in Kolkata. They laboured hard to design, create, and erect the temple-like structure and in more than two months, the work was done. Their workmanship involves a combination of spirituality and art, and the pandal proves to be a masterpiece.

In the meantime, India has another centre of news, Bakri Bazar in Ranchi, with its own Durga Puja festival. The Bhartiya Yuva Sangh 2015 has picked up a Rajasthan theme, which has been a replica of the architectural beauty of royal palaces. Royal architecture of the pandal, which has flowery pillars and amazing architectural arches, takes one back to the regal setting of Rajasthan heritage, which is another feature that makes the Ranchi colourful festival.

The two pandals have now become a major attraction not just by worshippers, but to art lovers and people who travel. Thousands of people are visiting these places daily, taking photographs and having the festive mood that has overcome the city. Security tensions have increased to control the flocking of people to a secure and happy celebration.
