A high-level meeting organized by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed the preparations for the silver jubilee celebrations in the 25th year of the formation of Uttarakhand. The conference was aimed at strategizing a sequence of cultural, developmental, as well as commemorative events that will showcase the successes of the state and its long-term agenda.

In the process of interviewing, CM Dhami highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is soaring to new heights and the state is now in a new age of comprehensive development. He said that the government is trying to make the silver jubilee year look like a journey of Uttarakhand since its inception in the year 2000 to become a fast-developing state of the Himalayas.

The Chief Minister instructed authorities to make sure that all districts are represented in the celebrations, displaying the local culture, traditions, and milestones of development. Week-long programmes that will be conducted between November 1 and November 9 will involve exhibitions, meetings with the public, cultural performances and the launching of developments.

The state government is making arrangements to roll out a 25-year developmental roadmap as part of the silver jubilee celebration to make Uttarakhand one of the top tourist, educational, green energy, and sustainable living destinations. It is anticipated that the plan will aim at enhancing infrastructure, creating jobs for the youth, and increasing environmentally friendly industries.

CM Dhami too declared the special session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in early November to celebrate the foundation day of the state. The session will examine the progress that has been made since the statehood and the priorities that are to be discussed. Also, special silver jubilee medals will be given to all the police staff in appreciation of their service to the state.

Putting into focus the role of Prime Minister Modi, Dhami added that a number of flagship central schemes and projects, which include all-weather road connecting Char Dham, Rishikesh-Karnaprayag railroad and development of tourism infrastructure, have increased the rate at which Uttarakhand was developing. He further stated that the state government is determined to see the vision of the Prime Minister of Uttarakhand, turning out a model hill state by 2047.

The Chief Minister concluded with a call to all citizens to be involved in jubilee events, which he referred to as a time of pride for all the Uttarakhandis. It is a silver jubilee, not merely our retrospective history, but our future of being brighter, said Dhami.

The state government will likely publish a comprehensive plan of the activities and events in the near future.
