On his way to poll-bound Bihar to address several mega events to lay the foundation of various infrastructural projects and inaugurate some others with an eye on improving the connectivity, transportation and tourism in the state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Patna. The visit would form part of the overall governmental effort to enhance regional development to improve the lives of the people through the modernization of major transport and logistical systems. One of the flagship projects being introduced is the six-lane Aunta-Simaria bridge across the Ganga that will vastly cut the time that it takes to travel between the northern and southern parts of Bihar.
The new bridge will be wider and longer, 1.86 kilometres, and it is intended to manage more traffic and be more efficient and safer on the part of commuters and commercial vehicles. Upgrading the existing and older Rajendra Setu would improve the congestion and enable seamless movement of freight in the region. The improved infrastructure will reduce the travelling of more than 100km and more than thousands of commuters daily and long-haul transporters. The 6 lanes of the bridge demonstrate how the government emphasizes making transport systems that are durable and ready to face future generations.
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate new train commences which will enhance the connection through railway to Bihar. Amrit Bharat Express linking Gaya with Delhi and the Buddhist Circuit Train that will run between Vaishali and Koderma are aimed not only at facilitating travel of the passengers but also to promote religious and tourist sites. These trains will open key cultural and spiritual points of attraction to the pilgrims and the travellers, facilitating tourism and interaction within the region.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate almost 13,000 crore worth of infrastructure projects in areas of energy, healthcare, urban development and sanitation. Such schemes will generate jobs, boost domestic economies and provide better services to its citizens. The transport, energy, and tourism projects are promising to integrate in this way a multifaceted approach in which modern engineering is linked to community welfare.
The people are not only interested in the projects as they serve an official role in marking Bihar as a place of progress and are also seen as another economy of economic stability. With the inauguration of the bridge and train projects, it is believed that the effects will be felt in the long-term, enhancing the movement of goods, education and even day-to-day activities. These activities make Bihar more available, economically dynamic, and tourist-friendly, so that the state will have continued development in the future years.
The visit by Prime Minister Modi, therefore, signifies a substantial step in Bihar since it can be seen how specific infrastructure projects can act as triggers to the growth of the region, greater interconnectedness and better standards of living for the people all over the state.
