Religious followers who intend to visit the popular Shri Dwarkadhish Temple in the holy month of Dhanurmas have been provided with a new aarti and darshan time. As Dhanurmas, known to be very auspicious in the Hindu calendar, is about to commence, the temple administration has taken special precautions to ensure that there is no problem during darshan without violating religious customs.
The Dhanurmas typically comes in the middle of December to mid-January, and is devoted to the deities Vishnu and Krishna. It is during this time that believers think that prayers and early morning prayers, and aarti cause special spiritual merit. Consequently, it is observable that a considerable increase in the pilgrims is experienced in the temples, and Dwarka is not an exception.
During Dhanurmas, according to the authorities in the temples, the morning aarti is particularly important. Devotees are also advised to come very early in order to attend the Mangala Aarti, which is the opening of the rituals of the day. Following the morning aarti, there is regular darshan which lasts several hours and in which pilgrims are permitted to pray and receive blessings of Lord Dwarkadhish.
The temple mostly takes a break in the afternoon and performs internal rituals and takes rest of the deity, after which the darshan reverts in the evening. Evening darshan and aarti are also popular among the Dhanurma, as most of the devotees want to participate in the Sandhya Aarti during the evening hours. The day ends with the last aarti of the day, called Shayan Aarti, and the day-long worshipping schedule ends, and the temple shuts down at night.
Officials with the temple have explained that the fundamental building of aarti and darshan will not change, but there can also be minor alterations in timing or the crowd management systems based on the rush of the devotees. They are encouraged to abide by the instructions given to them by the temple staff and security guards so that they can have a peaceful and peaceful darshan.
The management has also encouraged worshippers to ensure they look at the recent schedule posted at the temple grounds or announced via official media before they arrange their visit to the temple in particularly days like weekends and holy days when the foot traffic is normally high. The elderly devotees and those families that have children have been asked to arrange their darshan at comparatively less busy hours.
Dwarka is again a significant hub of religious activities, with the beginning of Dhanurmas, and pilgrims are coming to the city in large numbers. A new aarti and darshan time will make the devotees better organize their visit and be able to experience the religious environment of the temple during this sacred month.
