Commonwealth Express arrives in West Midnapore |

| Kolkata, July 28: The Commonwealth Express, an exhibition train showcasing the Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi in October, arrived in West Bengal's West Midnapore district on Tuesday.
The exhibition train, which arrived at Kharagpur station, will be stationed there till July 28 for public viewing.
The exhibition was opened on Tuesday by Anil Handa, divisional railway manager of Kharagpur.
"Out of 11 coaches of the Commonwealth Express, five coaches are earmarked for promotion of sports in India and on the theme of Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games. These coaches also depict the role of Indian Railways in promoting sporting talents.
"The other six coaches display India's tremendous success in the field of Information & Communication Technology," said a South Eastern Railway spokesman. (IANS) |
