One killed in firing at wedding |

| Ghaziabad: A 22-year-old youth was killed in firing by an apparently drunk reveller at a wedding in Ghaziabad, police said on Saturday.
Phool Kumar, a resident of Muzzafarnagar district, was killed when a person, Vikas Dagar, fired into the air with his licensed revolver on Friday night at a farmhouse in the Kavi Nagar Industriaal Area of Ghaziabad, they said.
Dagar was in an inebriated state during the incident.
Phool received a bullet in the head and was rushed to a private hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
The police later discovered that Dagar was out on bail in a murder case.
A case of murder and 30 Arms Act was registered against Dagar, who is absconding. Dagar' brother Praveen, who was detained, was also booked under 30 Arms Act for possessing four live cartridges, police said. (IANS) |
