Ghaziabad: Five people died and six lost their eyesight after drinking spurious liquor in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district, police said today.

About 15 more fell ill, a police officer said.

After the report of deaths, police have seized 25 bottles of liquor from Tukki Sharma, a resident of Dahna Bevli here. "The contents have been sent for forensic examination," the police officer said.
