Lucknow: Four minors were arrested by Uttar Pradesh Police for allegedly throwing colour on Chief Minister Mayawati's poster during Holi. The minors have been sent to jail.

Charging the boys 'destruction of public property', UP Police have forced these four boys to get lodged in juvenile jail. Moreover, these minors will have to appear for their class 12 board exams from within the jail.

According to the parents of these boys, the children are under immense pressure and they are unable to study. It has become difficult for these boys to concentrate on their exams and score good marks.

According to the school authorities the four children have been charged by police in order to avenge the school authority's decision to refuse admission to a Uttar Pradesh Police SHO's relative in the past.

The lawyer for the children has denied the charges filed by the police that the boys tore the poster of Mayawati. The lawyer stated that the children were going out to fetch medicine for an ailing person when the police arrested them.
