300 emancipated women scavengers visit parliament |

| New Delhi, Aug 18: Some 300 emancipated women scavengers, who used to manually clean human excreta in Alwar and Tonk districts of Rajasthan, on Tuesday visited parliament to get a first hand experience of its functioning.
An official said they were special guests of Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, who also interacted with them in her chamber. (IANS) |
