Sikh militants and LeT trying to revive militancy in Punjab |

| New Delhi, Aug 25: Few days after Minister of state for Home Affairs Ajay Maken had reported how Sikh militants from abroad are trying to revive militancy in Punjab, the Intelligence Bureau today came out clear about this fact.
While addressing the two-day conference of Director Generals of state police in the capital, Director, Intelligence Bureau, Rajiv Mathur asserted that agencies from international bases have been trying strike a deal between Sikh militant groups and Lashkar-e-Taiba with a motive to revive Sikh militancy in the state.
Considering this as a worrisome trend, the director added that agencies are putting effort to strike an alliance between LeT and terrorist groups like Babbar Khalsa International and the Khalistan Zindabad Force. They aim at strengthening their resources and planning terrorist violence in Punjab other regions of India. |
