To overcome this quandary, several young people of the community dug a well close to a school in the village so as to compensate the requirement of water of all including the Pardhis.

On January 28, an education officer came for school inspection and directed that Pardhi women should not take water from the well. This gave rise to a huge quarrel between the officer and the Pardhi women including Parsanta, who afterwards lodged a compliant against the officer.
