Mumbai Police to protect hotels from terror attacks

| Mumbai: Keeping in mind of the recent terror attacks like 26/11, Pune blasts and others, Mumbai police have chalked out a plan to deal with future terrorist attacks on hotels, restaurants and cafes and to rescue people safely.
Police have located few of the sensitive spots in Mumbai and are now undertaking security measures to evacuate the area in case of any terror attacks.
To implement the plan, Mumbai police is now analyzing the blueprints of several 5 star hotel buildings located at Mumbai. They are also on the process of introducing specialized combat teams to counter any kind of terror attacks. Hotel and restaurant personnel are also being trained on how to respond in emergency situations.
Restaurants, hotels and cafe owners are being asked by police to install CCTV cameras, metal detectors and others. Security personnel have been directed to report any kind of suspicious activities to the police immediately. |
