11 MNS activists arrested on charges of extortion |

| Mumbai: Eleven MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) activists were held on extortion charges. Police said that these workers forcibly tried to extort Rs. 27 lakh from a Bollywood film producer. The case was lodged in Bandra and the alleged MNS workers will be taken to the court today.
The MNS activists stormed into the Mehboob Studios when Ritesh Sidhwani's forthcoming film's shooting was in progress. The whole film unit was attacked for employing foreigners in a movie instead of locals.
Sidhwani is being credited for producing the highly acclaimed movie 'Karthik Calling Karthik'. He also worked in the superhit film 'Dil Chahta Hai'. |
