| Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan at last came into action today after he warned Shiv Sena and MNS that the state government would not allow them to continue with their anti-North India campaign.
Just when the campaign is gaining ground in the state, the Chief Minister made an open declaration before the reporters that his government will show its measures by taking action. Earlier, he was asked about the government's plan to tackle the attacks against North Indians in the city and deal with the 'Mumbai for Marathis' campaign started by MNS and Bal Thackeray-led Shiv Sena.
Threatening stringent action against both the parties, Mr. Chavan made a strong comment stating that his government will not allow these things to happen since under the Indian Constitution anyone can reside in any part of India. |
