| Mumbai: He never knew that he had to pay such a big price for making a statement against Shiv Sena. Bhojpuri singer actor Manoj Tiwari's residence in suburban Mumbai came under attack when a group of about 15-20 unidentified persons on Monday night vandalised the place.
According to Tiwari's spokesman Shashikant Singh a group of angry mob entered the bungalow of Tiwari around 9 pm at MHADA in Four Bungalows area. They asked his staff that they wanted to meet the actor.
Singh further added that the staff categorically told them about Tiwari's absence since he was out of town. As soon as they came to know about his absence, they started to pelt stones at his house.
The mob started demanding that the Bhojpuri actor should move out of Mumbai and return to the place where he hails from. The attackers also threatened that he had dared to comment against Shiv Sena over Sena leader Bal Thackeray's remark on Sachin Tendulkar.
The staffs have filed a complaint against the group with the Versova police. Although police confirmed the incident, it however added that no particular group has been identified as the one behind this incident. |
