Paes, Bhupathi advance in Rome Masters

Rome, April 26: India's Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi with their doubles partners moved into the pre-quarterfinals of the 2,750,000-euro Rome Masters tennis after receiving byes in their first round.

Third-seeded Paes and Czech Lukas Dlouhy play the winner of the match between Croat Ivan Ljubicic and Frenchman Michael Llodra and Austrian Julian Knowles and Israel's Andy Ram.

Bhupathi and his Belarussian partner Max Mirnyi are seeded fourth and meet the winner of the match between Americans John Isner and Sam Querrey and France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka. (IANS)
