Miami: India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi of Belarus overcame Poland's Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski 7-6(4), 6-4 the Sony Ericsson Open doubles final tennis.

Fourth-seeded Bhupathi and Mirnyi now play third seeds Leander Paes, Bhupathi's compatriot and former doubles partner, and Czech Lukas Dlouhy, who Thursday beat Spaniards Nicolas Almagro and Tommy Robredo.

Bhupathi and Mirnyi served solid, with a 72 per cent first serve percentage, and broke their opponents' serve twice in the one hour and 20 minutes contest here Friday.

Bhupathi and Mirnyi, the 2002 US Open champions, reunited in January but slumped to a dismal 1-4 record.

It will be the first meeting between the two teams, with the winners sharing $198,400. The runners-up will split $96,820. (IANS)
