DJB website should have water supply timings: CIC

| New Delhi: The Central Information Commission (CIC) has asked the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to display water supply timings on their website.
The decision came on an appeal filed by Narender Dutt who sought the supply timings in his area from the DJB. When he did not get a satisfactory reply, he approached the CIC in July 2009.
"The commission directs the PIO (public information officer) to ensure that timings of water supply of all areas are displayed on the website of the DJB. If these timings are changed, the website should be updated accordingly," said information commissioner Shailesh Gandhi in his order dated on Jan 29.
"The commission directs that these timings are displayed on the website under its Section-4 compliance (of the Right to Information Act 2005) before Feb 28," he noted. (IANS) |
