| Mumbai: After Shah Rukh Khan and Ashok Chavan, Shiv Sena head Bal Thackeray today verbally attacked tennis player Sania Mirza as she chose Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik as her life partner. Thackeray commented that Sania is not an Indian at heart but belongs to Pakistan and beats for a Pakistani.
Sania doesn't wish to play tennis for India anymore. If she rally wanted to do that, she would have married an Indian instead of a Pakistani, wrote Bala Saheb Thackeray in the editorial section of Saamna, the official daily of Shiv Sena.
He also commented that Sania mainly became renowned because of her tight and fashionable clothes and love relationships rather than her achievements in tennis. She cared very little to concentrate on tennis and earn victories for India. People take more interest in Sania's gesticulations instead of her performance in the tennis court.
The 84 year old party chief stated that Shoaib Malik considers India as an enemy, in sports and in the battleground as well. |
