| Mumbai: After over a week long turbulence over Shah Rukh Khan's comment on Pakistani players and doubt over release of 'My Name is Khan', Shiv Sena today claimed that Maharashtra government did not allow a much needed meeting between party chief Bal Thackeray and Shah Rukh Khan.
According to Shiv Sena, Shah Rukh Khan was willing to discuss over the issue with Thackeray after his US trip but the the ruling Congress-NCP coalition foiled it. Pouring out the party's grievances against the state government, Sena added that the government gave the excuse that it was able to tackle the Shiv Sainiks.
Party's mouthpiece 'Saamna' went on to add that SRK has declared in Abu Dhabi that he will meet Bal Thackeray to assure smooth release of his film in the state. In an editorial titled 'My Name is Ashok Khan', which was recently published in the newspaper, Shiv Sena took on Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan for taking Shah Rukh Khan's side in order to retain his political position in the state. |
