Australians in IPL: Bal Thackeray to declare his stand soon

Mumbai: After receiving request from Union Minister Sharad Pawar to withdraw threat against Australian cricketers' participation in the upcoming IPL, Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray has decided to declare the final decision regarding this issue in coming few days.

According to 'Saamana', the Shiv Sena mouthpiece, Bal Thackeray would take a final call on the issue of Australian players in two-three days.

Pawar had a long discussion with Thackeray at the later's 'Matoshree' residence in Bandra on Sunday night. Besides them, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray were also among the others present at the meeting.

'Saamana' also quoted Bal Thackeray saying to Pawar that he would never tolerate India's insult as the country is more important to him than the game.
