| New Delhi, Aug 19: The monsoon session of Parliament session is likely to be extended by a few days due to pending government business, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said today.
"The sittings of the Rajya Sabha are likely to be extended by two days and of Lok Sabha by a day," Bansal told the media.
He said that Rajya Sabha is likely to have sittings Aug 30 and 31 and Lok Sabha on Aug 28.
The minister said that need to extend the session had arisen as the parliament had lost eight days due to disruptions.
The monsoon session, which began July 26, was scheduled to end on Aug 27. (IANS) |
