| New Delhi, Aug 27: The monsoon session of parliament has been extended by two days and will now conclude on Tuesday, it was officially announced today.
The session was to end this week but over 40 hours were lost due to disruptions and some legislative business remained pending.
"The Lok Sabha will sit on Aug 30 and 31 without Question Hour in order to provide sufficient time for completion of essential items of the government business," a statement from the Lok Sabha secretariat said.
The Rajya Sabha had already decided to sit for two more days as several bills, including the crucial civil nuclear liability bill are yet to be passed in the upper house.
There will no Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha during the two extra days. (IANS) |
