Narayanan refutes reports of differences with government

Former national security advisor M.K. Narayanan
Kolkata: Former national security advisor (NSA) M.K. Narayanan on Sunday described reports of his differences with the central government on the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) as a "misconception". "All of us agreed to the NCTC. I think there is a lot of misconception," he said after being sworn-in the governor of West Bengal governor. "The matter of discussion was about what should be the exact role of the NCTC. It would be a combined wisdom of everybody," he said.

Narayanan exuded confidence that he will be able to help the state administration solve problems of Maoist violence and political clashes. "Let me settle down first. I will talk to the chief minister."

"Let us see what can be done. With my years of experience, I am sure I'll be able to help the administration." (IANS)
