| New Delhi, May 6: Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni today expressed her condolences on the demise of Ajay Tiwari, a television journalist who died while covering a major fire in the capital.
Tiwari, a 34-year-old reporter from a Hindi news channel, died today while covering a fire incident in south west Delhi.
In her condolence message, Soni said: "Indian journalism has lost a promising talent. Ajay Tiwari died in the line of his duty, maintaining the highest tradition of television journalism."
The journalist got trapped under debris after a wall collapsed following a cylinder blast triggered by a fire at a clothes warehouse in Rajapuri near Dabri in south west Delhi, a police official said.
Tiwari was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, he added. (IANS) |
