Sonia unfurls tricolor at Congress office |

| New Delhi, Aug 15: Congress president Sonia Gandhi hoisted the national flag at the party headquarters here today to mark the country's Independence Day.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, his cabinet ministers and party leaders were present at the Congress office in the heart of the city.
As the national anthem and patriotic songs were played, Gandhi took the salute from Sewa Dal workers present in large numbers.
Gandhi refused to answer any questions from a battery of journalists but wished them a "Happy Independence Day". Manmohan Singh also declined to speak to the media. (IANS) |
