Jaipur: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has made a surprising comment today after he described himself as 'old'. While talking to the reporters, the Gandhi stated that he is just performing the role of a catalyst for bolstering the growth of the youth wing of the Congress.

The Congress leader is of the opinion that he falls under the category of old people since he has already attained the age of 39. Referring to the demographic analysis of the population, Gandhi asserted that 60 per cent of India's population is below 40 and he falls in the category of the 40 percent.

Denying his role of empowering the youth of the country, Rahul Gandhi reiterated the credit for empowering the youth of India or the Youth Congress goes to the youth themselves. Affirming that he has not made any contribution towards their development Gandhi added that he has just been a catalyst in the process of empowerment.

He concluded that he is neither the leader of the Youth Congress nor even a member of the Youth Congress and clarified that his job is to cement the position of the organisaion as a dynamic and powerful one.
