Congress workers burn Gadkari's effigy

Ranchi, July 10: Congress workers today burnt an effigy of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari over his controversial remark against the party on hanging parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

More than 30 Congress workers gathered at Albert Ekka roundabout and shouted slogans against Gadkari.

"Gadkari seems to have lost his mental balance. He should be sent to a mental asylum for treatment," said Rakesh Kumar, a Congress worker.

Gadkari, while addressing a gathering in Dehradun Thursday had, termed Afzal Guru as the "son-in-law" of the Congress for not expediting his sentence. (IANS)
