CPI-M office in Kerala's Payyoli town set on fire |

| Payyoli (Kerala): The CPI (M) committee office in Payyoli town was set on fire early today. According to reports, the office has been set on fire by BJP workers. A tense situation prevailed in the region.
It has been observed that the office suffered a bad damage with fire destroying certain parts of the building. Furniture and files have been destroyed in the process.
Preceding this event, some unidentified persons launched an assault at CPI-M worker's house in the nearby Tikkodi town in the wee hours.
It is to be noted that two BJP workers' houses have been attacked on Sunday night. Today's incident is touted as the retaliation to Sunday's attack.
Presently, CPI-M workers are observing shutdown today as a token of protest against the torching of their party office. No unpleasant incidents have been reported. |
