| New Delhi, June 15: Nine months after former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh was expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over his book praising Pakistan founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the MP from Darjeeling is likely to return to the fold, party sources said today.
"Jaswant Singh is likely to return to the party fold and the decision is to be made by the BJP parliamentary board. The decision is expected this week itself," a BJP source told the media.
However, there was no official word from the party.
"If there is anything, the party president will announce it," BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar told reporters here. (IANS) |
