| New Delhi, July 9: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Thursday surprised everyone when he heaped praise on Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at a function here, saying he was her ardent admirer.
"I have highest regards for Sheila Dikshitji. I am an admirer of her. Her stand on issues, even if it is wrong, impresses me. She has a loving and smiling face," former minister and Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan said at a book release function, a comment which led Dikshit burst into peels of laughter.
"I wish you to occupy higher positions. We want you to rise to the highest level ...We feel proud to say that she is our chief minister," he said. (IANS) |
