Seven MPs suspended from Rajya Sabha for the remaining session |

New Delhi: Furious at the continuous disruptions over the women's reservation bill, Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari today suspended seven MPs for the remaining part of the session and adjourned the house till 2 p.m. The Rajya Sabha MPs who were responsible for creating a ruckus on Monday during the tabling of the Women's Reservation Bill were suspended by Ansari for the rest of Parliament session. The list of suspended MPs include Nand Kishore Yadav, Ejaz Ali, Subhash Yadav, Sabir Ali, Amir Alam Khan, Veerpal Singh Yadav, and Kamal Akhtar.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Prithviraj Cahavan regretted the fact ans stated that the MPs who behaved in an unparliamentary manner on Monday have been suspended from the services for the remaining session. |
