New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice today, over the issue of Telangana and shooting prices of essential commodities.

As soon as the house assembled at 11 a.m., Telugu Desham Party (TDP) members raised the issue of united Andhra, with party member M.V. Mysoora Reddy walking towards the well of the house.

Simultaneously, the Left parties began speaking about price rise, forcing Chairman Hamid Ansari to adjourn the house for half hour.

When the house reassembled at 11.30 a.m., Left, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party MPs again raised issue of price rise, creating a din.

As nothing could be heard in the bedlam, the chairman adjourned the house till 12 noon. (IANS)
