Beijing Olympics: Shooters continue to disappoint |

| Beijing: In a big setback to India's medal hopes, Samresh Jung failed to make the finals of the men's 10m air pistol (rpt pistol) event following the poor show by Anjali Bhagwat and Avneet Kaur Sidhu in the Olympic today. The Melbourne Commonwealth Games multiple gold medallist shot a disappointing score of 570/600 to finish 42nd among 48 shooters in the qualifying event.
Chinese Pang Wei qualified first with a score of 586/600. Jung's failure to make the final cut marks yet another disappointment for the Indians after women shooters Anjali and Avneet crashed out of the qualifying of their 10m air rifle event. (PTI) |
