Mumbai, May 8: Corporate honchos today took a day off to hit the sea as part of a sailing regatta at the Royal Bombay Yacht Club near Gateway of India here.

The Forbes India Aquasail Regatta attracted business leaders from various sectors to the sailing extravaganza, which also featured a sail and race camp, power boat clinic and harbour cruising.

Ronita Mitra of ICICI, Rajan Mariwalah of Marico Industries, Jitendra Israni of IBM India and Indrajit Gupta of Forbes India were among those seen in action at the sailing regatta today.

Beneteau First 7.5 yachts used by corporate leaders to race with each other on the sea were provided by Aquasail, the pioneer in leisure sailing in India.

Two sessions with four teams each were held as part of the event. Each team had six participants. A qualified team of instructors from Aquasail ensured the safety of the teams during the competition.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Tiku, marketing head of Forbes India, said: "This is a superb platform to get all the industry leaders together and interact. We are glad that everyone had a great time."

Forbes India, an influential business magazine, and Aquasail hosted the corporate sailing regatta series, which witnessed three similar events earlier in Mumbai. The Saturday's event was the fourth and the last edition in the series. (IANS)
