They have done it earlier and they did it again. Yes, the trio of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Anees Bazmi who set the Box Office on fire last year with two consecutive hits-Namastey Londoan and Welcome- are back again to entertain their fans with 'Singh Is Kinng'-an impeccable blend of comedy, romance, action and drama, with perfect synchronisation. After striking chord with audiences as a Punjabi boy in Namastey London, Akshay this time portrays Happy Singh, a happy-go- lucky and accident-prone guy.

Happy Singh, the protagonist, hails from the village of Lakhan Singh aka Lucky (Sonu Sood) who is the king of the Australian underworld, accompanied by his associates played by Javed Jaffrey, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Kamal Chopra and Sudhanshu Pandey. The villagers are fed up of Happy's stupid acts, as he creates problem for them in the process of doing something good. To get rid of Happy's insanity, the villagers push him into an emotional trap to bring Lucky back to his parents in the village who are waiting for their son for a long time. The happy-go-lucky, being so good gets trapped and leaves for Australia along with Rangeela (Om Puri) but incidentally lands up in Egypt where he meets Sonia (Katrina Kaif) and falls in love with her.

After reaching Australia things take a bad turn when Lucky Singh refuses to return India along with Happy and Rangeela and push them out of his house. When Lucky gets paralysed after suffering a head injury, his gang members make Happy the 'new king' of the underworld. And then starts the humorous twist and turn that carries away the audience. There are number of scenes in the movie that leaves audience crazy with its rib tickling comedy.

The movie also scores in music as the tunes of Pritam are well matched with the lyrics of Mayur Puri. Numbers like 'Bhootni Ke,' 'Jee Karda' and the title track leaves the audience shaking their feet. Moreover, the song, 'Teri Ore,' shot in the pyramids of Egypt, recreates the magic of 'Suraj Hua Madham' from 'Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gam.' Ben Nott and Sanjay Gupta's cinematography is excellent.

Performance wise every character has done an excellent job. Akshay is a great entertainer and he puts his heart and soul into the character of Happy. Katrina Kaif, like always looks stunning throughout the film. Scenes featuring Om Puri, Ranvir Shorey, Javed Jaffery and Kiron Kher, and the nok jhok between Sudhanshu Pandey and Yashpal Sharma are like icing on the cake. Sonu Sood on the other hand has done justice to the character of Lucky Singh.

Overall, 'Singh Is Kinng' lives up to the hype, and entertains the audience well. It's a paisa wasool movie which is worth watching quite a number of times. So if you are looking for a hilarious weekend, Singh is Kinng is always there for you. Ultimately 'Singh Is Kinng' makes Akshay the real King!!
