The most stunning factor of Rock On is its music. Keeping the theme of the movie in mind, S-E-L has come out this time with the tunes that pushes the script. 'Meri Laundary Ka Ek Bill' and Rock On reminisces you 'Masti Ki Paathshala'. Javed's lyrics is quite young and lures young listeners. All the actors in the movie has portrayed their characters well. Purab Kohli reminds Sukhi of Rang De Basanti. Farhan faces the camera for the first time but it doesn't seem like. However, he fails with his voice. Arjun Rampal as an idealist and a frustrated guitarist is simply superb and Luke Kenny is noticeable. But in a movie that has male bondage, heroines too scores well.
Prachi Desai, is a promising new comer and have the potential to make a mark on 70 mm after winning accolades on small screen. Shahana Goswami as Arjun's wife and a designer turns fishing business women proves her histrionic.
There is nothing in the movie that the audience dislikes, except its script that somewhere gets lengthy, otherwise, Rock On simply rocks. The movie is compatible to the taste of the young audience in metros but will it do well in small towns is doubtful.
