 Good Boy Bad boy. Unlike the title there is nothing good in the film. Watching this movie might be a good choice for those who want to spend long and hot summery day inside an air-conditioned theater with a pleasant sleep. Believe me there will not be too many people to disturb you either. Ashwani Chaudhary's film is that kind of film that diminishes your faith, a film that takes a heavy toll on those who pay to watch this unbearable campus romance. The film is soaked in the colours of rainbow. Chaudhary's two heroes and two heroines- Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor with Tanushree and Isha Sharvani- study in a campus that is unique to Bollywood: tattoos on every arm, deliberately exposed belly buttons, buffoons for teachers and Romeos and Juliets for students. |

 In such environment, there are two guys, one of whom is a good boy: the studious type with oil soaked hair, spectacles and pale colour shirt. The other is a bad boy: read tattoos, earrings, bracelets, in short, typical Emraan Hashmi image, minus smooches. Each has a girl, but with paradoxes. The good boy's girl dresses like she does not like to dress at all. Well, with Tanushree as a girl, you can expect that. The bad boy's girl tries to cover herself: but just about. Of course there are twists too: the bad boy studies in the class meant for good guys and good one finds himself with the rogues! And, amidst all this is the college principal Agasthy (Paresh Rawal) who not only divides the entire college into sections for 'The Good' and 'The Bad'. But to distinguish them, he has his own typical exam- the 'goods' can solve PC related problem or answers queries pertaining to Carl Marx and 'bads' are those who can tell you how to send MMS. All this and many more boring and expected acts till the two heroes take it up to prove themselves good and win the hearts of their respective lady love. It would be more than enough to say that the film has bad lead actors, worse music and an unbelievable campus. Bad script equipped with double meaning dialogues of Emraan who claims that 'main leta hoon'. Stay away if you are a good boy. Watch it if you are a bad boy. Watching will be a punishable offense! |
