 Writer-turned-director Rumi Jaffery uses his wild imaginations and debut as a director with 'God Tussi Great Ho'. Loosely based on the Hollywood flick 'Bruce Almighty', God Tussi Great Ho is the desi version. Charisma of Salman Khan did work at some places but the script lets him down. The movie is a very stale comedy without much laugh riots. The film gives a positive message to the audiences but script depiction is the major flaw in the film.
The story revolves around Arun Prajapati (Salman Khan), a TV anchor who is always gripped by failures. All his attempts get shattered, no matter what he does. So, he blames GOD for all his failures and troubles. He holds God responsible and accountable for everything that is bad in his life. Professionaly and personaly both ways, he does not taste success. Alia Kapoor (Priyanka Chopra) is the love of his life, who is a brave and gorgeous girl working for the same TV channel.
 The Story takes a twist with the entry of Rocky (Sohail Khan) a smart, confident and successful guy. He also adds to his troubles, as he falls into love with Alia. Arun loses his job despite having talent and fails to prove himself in front of Alia. He also gets fed up with his angry father (Anupam Kher), who perennially criticises him and his plain jane sister, played by Rukshan, who desperately needs to get married. As usual Arun holds God responsible for his failures. But this time surprisingly God appears before him and grants him some special powers. How Arun gets his love and what he does with these powers and how all this changes his perception about both God and life is the trails of the story.
Acting wise Salman Khan with a boyish appeal and sponteneous acting delivers a good performance. Priyanka Chopra is looking nice throughout the movie. Sohail Khan is okay with his performance. The supporting cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Rajpal Yadav, Anupam Kher and Beena Kak who gave their fair share of performances.
 The music composed by Sajid Wajid is average. The beginning track 'Let's Party' is not really appealing. 'Tujhe Aksa Beach Ghuma Du' and the concluding tracks, 'Tumko Dekha' and 'Lal Chunariya' do help in recovering God Tussi Great Ho to an extent. The costumes, cinematography is average and the overall impact of the movie can be termed as medicore.
As a whole, God tussi Great Ho is not so great. It could have been better with something more innovative and stylish. Director Rumy Jaffery needs to polish his skills.With such a good moral of the story the script could not do justice with the film. Hopefully it will run for some weeks in the box office. The film's fate will, however, only be decided by the viewers.
