Chal Chala Chal ReviewChal Chala Chal can be tagged as just another commercial venture with its due share of emotion, comedy and other tit bits. But having said that, the movie is not deprived of the natural flair present in Govinda and Raj Pal Yadav, - the two comic maestros in Bollywood industry. Govinda's comeback role seemed much within his grip and he has maintained a wonderful equilibrium between his sense of humour and the responsibility of the character that he was committed to perform. Eager to star a new venture on his own, he finally landed up in transport business as a bus owner with Rajpal Yadav giving the necessary assistance.

While the main plot of Chal Chala Chal revolved around an idealistic individual's attempt to purge the society, the sub-plot is that of the various business hazards that Govinda had to combat during his errand of doing some welfare to the society and that too keeping in mind his own prosperity. Rajiv Kumar has successfully attempted to bring in the contemporary issues by portraying Govinda’s constant conflict with the unwanted forces. He did not seem to be least at discomfort while doing the action sequences.

Chal Chala Chal ReviewOm Puri is ever at ease with his acting and played an admirable part as an anxious father of Govinda. Reema Sen did well in her role as Payal. Her unpleasant interactions with Deepak (played by Govinda) were subtle hints at the upcoming sweetness in their relation. The first half of the movie went with a series of ups and downs and incidents happening at the blink of your eye. Although background music was quite in line with the sequences, the song ‘Don’t say Bas’ was not impressive and rather it was redundant.

You cannot afford to miss the court scene where Govinda was put on trial. Thought-provoking dialogues and meaningful monologues of Govinda are too good a treat to miss. The climax slowly transcended to a conclusion where Om Puri came up with his box of wisdom when he uttered some good counsels at the end including “Jahan sabera hota hai wohi basera hota hai”. Happy ending was expected and so it happened. Om Puri gave a final touch to his role and acted as a mediator between Reema Sen and Govinda.

The dialogue writer should bag credit for scripting some witty dialogues. Director Ravi Kumar’s attempt to create humour in some incidents has failed in its purpose owing to needless dragging. Chal Chala Chal is a good watch provided you are willing to accept the blatant flaws in a good humour.
