The film Meri Padosan concerns the life of a happy couple Viju(Sanjay Mishra), a clerk while Kavita (Sadhika Randhawa), a housewife. This couple from small town tries to make their dream true. The problem in their life arrived in the form of Shyam Gopal Verma, a struggler director who comes to stay in their neighbours to stay at his friend’s home Prem. Prem is a media promoter and he and Shyam shared the roof with and Aslam, their friend who works in private bank. Both Viju and Kavita had to suffer because of the daily brawls that took place among the three friends every night. |

Shyam, who is searching for new stories, got the required inspiration by observing their neighbours Viju and his wife. Shyam browsed through the job sites and found one vacancy for a director in a media channel ‘Live India’. Shyam was wonder-struck while reaching the channel’s office as he found almost 500 directors have come to apply for the job. Shyam tries to search for a story to be shot after filling the form for the post. It was one day that Shyam chanced to see the chemistry between Viju and Kavita by peeing outside their window. He closely observed how Viju’s wife was waiting for him at the door and how both of them melt into each other’s arms.
In order to capture this lovely chemistry and portray it as a real story, the struggling director decides to shoot their entire chemistry keeping it a complete secret. But capturing the scenes in lens requires a camera and since he had no money left with him, he sells his stuff and hires a camera for ten days. He ventures out on capturing the romance of the married couple and shoots some funny moments they share with each other. The end remains the suspense and you have to watch the film to know what happens to Shyam in the end and if he finally gets the break in films with big stars.
Meri Padosan is a story of those who can reach any extent to achieve their ambition, and director Prakash Saini is supported by his crew including Ravi Meet and Manoj Negi, the music directors of the movie. Sadhika Randhawa has to prove her potential this time since her earlier movies like “Kash... Aap Hamare Hote” (2003) with Sonu Nigam and Juhi babbar and “Bullet: Ek Dhamaka” (2005) did not do well. Produced by Ashok Bagla, this comic-drama is set to release on the 17th of April.
