Rockstars are coming to theatres with their life story and this time it is Salman, Ajay and Asin trio who form the major characters of this tale. This multi-starrer film is a potpourri of love, friendship, trust, betrayal and last but not the least, salvation.
Director Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s London Dreams narrates a story of two friends Mannu (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Ajay Devgan). They were childhood friends but apart from their connection with music, both have nothing in common. If Arjun is ambitious and passionate about music, Mannu is a reluctant individual content only with enjoying the good things in life.
Music takes two friends in different tracks as Arjun settles down in London creating a band with his two brothers from Pakistan. Priya (Asin), a music lover from a conservative South Indian family also becomes a part of the band. The band was named 'London Dreams'. Left alone in India, Mannu adopts music to survive and takes to playing in wedding bands.
The story gets a dramatic dose when Arjun brings Mannu to London and made him a part of his band. Mannu reaches the pinnacle of success in no time and his innate talent makes him a huge draw among the audience. The story moves on as Arjun loses his secret love Priya to Mannu. Sense of vindication grows in Arjun and he contemplates a strategy to put an end to his best friend. We have to wait and watch the denouement as the film journeys through series of other events.
Supporting actors Ranvijay Singh, Om Puri, Manoj Pahwa, Brinda Parekh contribute their part in the film. Suresh Nair has penned the story and the credit for etching the screenplay also goes to him. Music of London Dreams will be a worthy affair with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy rendering music direction and Prasoon Joshi composing the lyrics.
Director Vipul Shah, who took over the job of directing film from Rajkumar Santoshi (he was supposed to direct London Dreams earlier) and re-wrote the entire script of London Dreams, considers this as his best film. With the film due to release on October 30, expectation on various segments has started to grow.
