Jasshn is a story of a 'nobody' who desperately aspires to be a 'somebody'.Akash Verma(Adhyayan Suman),is a twenty year old, old-hot-headed, brash, romantic. He is a struggling musician who wants to reach the heights of stardom. Supporting him in his thirst for fame are three band members. His problems are heightened by a disruptive environment at home. Although he is a dreamer, but is ineffective to discover a voice of his own which can help him to stand out in the crowd. His life comes to a standstill, when he faces the bitter truth, that his sister Nisha (Shahana Goswami) has become the mistress of a rich businessman, Aman Bajaj, in order to provide Akash a decent lifestyle.

Enters, Sara(Anjana Sukhani),a vibrant girl, who carries care-a-damn attitude,easily makes Akash fall in love with her. She helps him overcome his inhibitions, makes him realize that he is extremely talented and motivates him not to give up to life's challenges. The twist occurs when Akash finds that the person who has been with him through thick and thin and supported him in his downfall, is the sister of the person who he dislikes the most....Aman Bajaj(Humayun Saeed).

Struck, by the bittersweet lessons of life and genuine love of Sara, he finds his own voice. an unconventional tune garnished with the passion, he has lived with, he not only discover his inner potential but soon becomes a star overnight. In the due process, he not only brings dignity to his sister but also modifies Aman Bajaj's ego. He lives up to the trust Sara had in himthroughout.

The director duo, Raksha Mistry and Hasnain Hyderabadwala, are back with Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt's JASHNN - THE MUSIC WITHIN. Raksha justifies, "Bhatt-saab once said that to make a successful film, you need to incorporate something that is a part of your own life. So that's what we did. JASHNN is about a nobody, vying to be a somebody, just like us. Also, this one's an original, hence the time gap."

Bhatts and quality music go hand in hand. The statement remains the same in the Vishesh films' forthcoming venture 'Jasshn'. The expectations are high and the movie comes with the "good music" tag. A true-blue musical entertainer, Bhatts have roped Sharib-Toshi, Nouman Javaid and Sandesh Shandilya to create tracks for the music album. The album kick starts with 'Nazrein Karam', sung by K K and Shreya Ghoshal. A mushy number with breezy lyrics, touch of oriental music. 'Nazrein Karam' is a fresh composition. It has a 'Kilogram Mix' version to it.

'Aaya Re', by Sharib-Toshi, Kumaar and K.K, gives an impression of a rock concert. The song is designed deliberately for a 'star', as it features Adhyayan Suman giving the rock performance. There is no 'remix version' to appraise the original.

'Dard -E- Tanhai', a soft rock track , sung by Nouman Javaid. With simple lyrics and sad connotations, it gives a soulful and melodious hearing. Composer Sandesh Shandilya, lyricist Nilesh Mishra and singers Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal come together in 'Tere Bin', which adds variety to the album.

A situational track, 'Main Chala', marks the journey of a man who is alone and eventually aspires to rise from his downfalls. The song 'Aish Karle', marks the return of Sharib and Toshi and plays as a background. A purely situational yet full on impact.
